re: How does an "elite" program get itself into a 4 year JJ/JL mess?

For four years watching JJ and JL play I was always thinking why didn't Les ever give RS an opportunity. Considering JJ always had that deer in the headlight look with a pass rush in his face and his inability to read defenses, it seemed like a rational choice that RS would have been given an opportunity. I thought that since the offense was taylored for a mobile quarterback, RS was a better fit for the offense. Maybe he didn't have the size but given his potential as a mobile quarterback and passer, he was a better fit for the offense over JJ. For that reason, I am at a loss for words. The one main question I have is If Zach Mett is as advertised and is good to start for LSU next year, then why wasn't he good enough to start this year?
