Jefferson was sacked or forced to run when we tried to throw down field. Better O-line and better QB is what we needed to beat bama.

In a high-pressure situation like Monday was, he was the worst choice to be under center. Quick release Mett or Lee would have forced the defense to adjust and may well have opened up the run, thus also opening up time for long, vertical plays.
