Apology? No. I want to hear that he realizes and will correct his mistakes.

An "apology"? NO. That doesn't fix the problem. I know he's sorry it happened.
What I want to hear from Les is this:
"I realize now that my evaluation of our offensive situation during this game was incorrect, and that 9 was not capable of moving our offense. I realize that I did not listen to the counsel of my other coaches and players that we should make a change at the QB position, and this was a mistake on my part. I promise the fans and team that in the future I will remain more open minded to using all the potential of our entire team, when those around me agree that we need to make a change.
I further realize that my game plan for this game was inadequate. I felt incorrectly that we would see the same things from the Alabama team we had seen in November, and that we would be successful if we simply carried forward with a similar game plan. I now realize that was incorrect and my mistake. I promise our fans and team that in the future I will view each game as a new situation, and try to anticipate the adjustments the opponent will make, and prepare our team with several options so we are ready if our primary game plan fails."
This is the real problem, not JJ/JL, eating grass, mad hatter, etc. If Les doesn't realize his mistake he is doomed to repeat it with a new cast of characters. That is why we are having a hard time letting this go, because it clouds next season's promise with significant doubt.

Les is going to do what he thinks puts the team in the best position to win. Did it work Monday? no. Does it ever work every time for any coach? no. Just happens that this was on the biggest stage.
if you already have doubt over next season because of that shitty game Monday then you might as well not even watch because you'll just be waiting for something to bitch about.
deal with it and move on. it happened, it sucked, its over.

This is true...Plus Les didn't throw the players under the bus like the midget from bama would have, had he lost the way we lost monday...he would have said something like, "Well, the players didn't execute like we coached them to and that was the difference in the game."
My point is the players on offense (not just JJ) made many stupid mistakes and were just as responsible for the debacle as Miles. Miles just doesn't call them out in public.

Do you want an apology for from the O line? From JJ? From Coach Stud?

I would love that! Great post! Maybe I could go back to actually sleeping the whole night thru instead of waking up in the middle of the night wondering WTF happened. He needs to be held accountable, just like everybody else in their jobs.

Maybe our stable of qb's next year, will be a little better than what we, LSU, (thank god) just got rid of.

if this is actually true then you have much bigger issues that nothing Miles says will help

quote:actually, he probably would have reached up and grabbed JJ by the facemask and directed him to the bench where he should belong the rest of the game, esp after his "shovel pass"...
he would have said something like, "Well, the players didn't execute like we coached them to and that was the difference in the game."
quote:the gameplan was woeful.... the players don't tell the coach what the gameplan is...

Sorry that I'm quite passionate about this and it disturbed me pretty badly. Gfy while you are at it as well. The game was 3 days ago.

I don't need to hear anything. He just needs to fix whatever problem he had. Whatever causes him to prefer one player over another despite on the field performance needs to die. I don't care if he can admit it or not. Just don't let it happen again.
He didn't admit that he screwed up clock management issues the last few years. But, he fixed it this year and we didn't have that problem. That's all I would like to see.

tired of the "you have splainin ta do" posts. it was a terrible night and will go down in infamy in LSU history. IMO, this game will be a gr8 motivator for 2012
