What cbtullis said. You don't just want amount of coverage for the cheapest price. You want to make sure that 1. the company will be there when you need them and 2. it will hopefully be hassel free when the time comes.
The big companies like New York Life, Northwestern Mutual, Mass mutual are definitely ones to think about. Met Life is probably a step below those. If you have a policy on yourself and are happy with the company/agent and they have performed well over the years, definitely talk to them as well.
The most important thing with LI is to find an agent you trust and can get along with who is with a company that is financially strong and you know they will be able to pay a claim if an unfortunate even happens.
