I have concerns about ZM talent level.

And I think they are legit concerns.
Why do we assume that Zach will be able to lead the Tiger offense any better than how JJ or JL did this year? If he was really better why did he ride the pine all year? Or, is it just that he did not know the playbook as much as JJ and JL?
If it's the latter, good gawd, I really have no confidence in Zach. That would be a serious indictment of his cognitive abilities (if you know what I mean).
Is it possibly his physical skill set where the coaches thought his strength was not up to JJ and JL's level and with time and Tommy Moffitt, Zach could bring his physical stature up to SEC levels?
I'm just trying figure out why Zach rode the pine if he is really supposed to the answer a QB next year. Because if he could not beat out JJ or JL this year, wow, we are really in trouble at that position next year.
I reserve my excitement for Zach (and/or Randall) until I see some skins put on the wall. Practice and the spring game does not count IMO.

get a grip...he wasnt the asnwer this year. We had a great year with him learning our system...maybe you should learn something about player development!

Spring game might not count but he did a hell of a lot better than JL and JJ in the spring game. That is a fact.

After '08 and '09, CLM isn't going to allow a young QB to start with less than a year (at the very least) in the system under his belt unless forced by injury. Not gonna happen, no matter how talented the QB in question is. Just accept it and move on if you can.

People assume it can't be worse. He also had great success at Blinn and was challenging Murray for Georgia's starting QB spot.

I don't think he was ever given a chance. It was all JJ, then all Lee, then all JJ again.

No.

This is the rational thing to do. I think Mett will be good, but I just don't know if he can ever be what LSU fans think he is.

I thought JJ said he had the better spring game.
But from what I saw Mett and JL both had a better spring game. JL ran the hurry up Offense pretty good also.

So you are saying that Zach is underdeveloped relative to JJ and JL?
If so, I have major concerns next year at the QB positon, again.

If you can't figure out by now how loyal Les is to his seniors then your just a moron. Tom Brady could have transferred to Lsu and would not start b4 his boy.

He wasn't just challenging Murray, he was destroying Murray

You serious?

GumboPot. You are correct to have reservations about Z M. There is no way he will be able to live up to the passing legacy of the once in a lifetime QB, Jordan Jefferson.

I can remember a UGA journalist coming on Moscona's show and telling him that Mettenburger had the big arm that you want in a QB. But, that he had average accuracy

Les plays no underclassmen at other postions, right?

If Jarrett Lee (a senior) didn't get playing time in place of JJ when our season was on the line and JJ was playing arguably the worst we've ever seen him play, and after Lee performed very well and helped lead our team to an undefeated record with arguably the most difficult schedule in college football.....what makes you think Mettenberger would even get considered to play ahead of JJ?

Bama used Lacy more last night because Trent is gone, they were already thinking about 2012, all the reps with Lacy are as good as gold. It would have been good to use ZM over JL just as prep for next year. So maybe the z man is not ready? We will find out soon enough.

average accuracy
That will be a huge improvement over JJ.

Or some other illogical reason that I still trying to figure out.

no logic to all this, that is the problem...
