What about Paytons handling of Chase Daniel. Do you feel as strongly. He is another second string QB not playing.
The moron is strong in this one.

Better that a fan have this problem than the head coach.

It's simple. I've been an LSU fan for my whole life. I'm 44 so yep, that includes some REALLY frickING LEAN years. I endured Hallman. I endured Dinardo. I know bad. I can cheer through bad.
With Miles, I've always had lingering doubts but you just can't argue with Ws and Ls. Those numbers are on his side. And, I fully expect that to continue for the most part.
But, what died for me is this. Until the last two years and more importantly, until the last half of this season, I always really LIKED Miles. I mean, he just comes off as awfully likable and someone you'd like to know.
Sure, I questioned his overall handling of JL even a bit last year. But, this year, it was absolutely a gross case of poor character. And that's what's died for me. I will continue to be a huge LSU fan as I've been for all of at last 35 yrs of memory. But I'll be cheering for a team where I have no respect for the coach.
He can win and I'm sure he will. But he cannot earn that respect back. I'm sure he doesn't care about my respect and that's fine. But, it's gone nonetheless and I am 100% certain that I'm not alone.
I've looked at other teams and wondered what it's like to be a huge fan of a team with a coach of low character. What's that like Arky fans I would think? Well, now I'm going to be forced to answer that question myself.
frick YOU MILES.
Time to shut down the computer and have dinner and drink. And then take a walk...... Chill

quote:Debacle? Yes. One game? Yes. But proved Bama team is vastly superior to our guys? Not on your life. What it showed was their team was very prepared to play to win and ours wasn't. Coaching? Or team psychology? I don't know. But we are the team that played that team to a standoff in regulation time in their own packed house in November. And we are the team that beat them in OT because our ST play was superior. So what Bama got was a second chance. What LSU got was screwed. Statistics say that rematches are almost always played to the advantage of the team that previously lost.
Last night proved the guys on the other sideline are vastly superior to the guys on ours. One game? Yep, but it was a huge debacle.

The Miles bandwagon will be taking back passengers starting Sat., Sept.1
Exactly, after we win the SEC next year all these idiots attacking Miles personally for losing a football game will be back on the "he is quirky but I love him" bandwagon.
Do you seriously think Miles or JJ wanted to lose the game? Even if he was selfish Miles would have wanted to win just to get the payday. I assure you he did what he thought gave his team the best chance to win.
It wouldn't have mattered who was at QB last night, their DL was blowing our OL up. The coaches and players feel worse about the loss than any of you because they are the ones who invested all the time and effort into the season.
No, hanging out on TD.com giving other rantards your worthless opinion all year is not more invested than the coaches and players. Some of you act like you are two years old with the name calling and tantrums, just ridiculous.

LSU football is a BIG part of our lives, moron! You treat this forum as your little social media site. You're the one that needs to buy a life. You don't give a shite about LSU football because you aren't a true fan. You spend most of your time on the Food and Drink and OT Lounge boards. Get off the football site idiot. You're a joke.
It's one fricking game morons. The sun came up this morning so why don't ya'll buy a life?

I agree with this...
...but not this...
We will very likely win the SEC in 2012 and have a very good shot at going back to the NC game.

Had this loss happened at the first of the year as opposed to the last, it would have been different. It wasn't even the loss, it was the horrible, shitty effort and game planning, preparation that have people in dismay

LSU isn't the top program in the SEC, and is FAR from being at this point. That illusion is gone. Last night proved the guys on the other sideline are vastly superior to the guys on ours. One game? Yep, but it was a huge debacle.
LSU fans have high expectations, we know how high now. They have been capped for a while.
We will very likely win the SEC in 2012 and have a very good shot at going back to the NC game.

I am not the fricker going off about not playing the QB that everyone knew would not play because he was the second string QB.
Now if you want to debate he should not have been second string, that is a good one. But to condemn Miles for doing what basically 95% of all coaches do (play 1 QB), yall have just jumped to nuts.

Next year I'm gonna go back to being just a regular fan, not one who structures his life around LSU football.
If you are a grown man and have this problem you have issues that you need to deal with. As do a lot of people on this board including the crybaby saying he's a "leader of men"
Ya'll all act like you were suited up and on the field last night.
Did they get beat and outcoached? Yes. Big game? Yes. I understand the relevance of the game but it is still just a game.
Did you have a good meal last night? Sleep in a warm bed? Wake up and still had a job and money in the bank?
Ya'll need to grow up. I've been sitting in Tiger Stadium since 1963. I know what its all about.

Im 50 years old Shorty so obviously Ive been throug the lean years too and the Mac years where we ususally had a stout defense just couldnt beat the Bear. But I agree with you. Finally got fully supportive and both feet on Miles bandwagon last year to see what he did to Lee this year does say a lot to his character and both my feet are off his bandwagon. I will pull for my Tigers like I always do but Ive now got about much respect for Miles as I do Petrino.

Definitely. That's why the sky is falling crowd needs to get some perspective. The team is built for another great season next year.

I would bet 95% of all football coaches would have made a change in the UGA game, and this game as well.

Miles will be our coach for a long time, so everyone just needs to take a bite out of the big shite sandwich. It's really amazing how one game can deflate the legacy of Miles so much, and at the same time, drag up all the Saban is god bullshite again...frick Saban- I still wouldn't want his arse back at LSU again, but at the same time, this is the biggest egg Les laid since the Ole Miss disaster a few years ago...

I was just fricking around with it, but damn folks need some perspective.
Miles made a ton of bad decisions in hindsight. They werent done to screw up some kid. As dumb as it looks now, he thought it gave his team the best chance to win.
