Chavis + Good OC + Les as a figurehead = a great LSU team

Someone else said in another thread to which I agree.
Les is a lousy play caller. He has no clue on what's going on in the game. We all know that.
Les is a great recruiter. We all know that.
Put him in a pedestal and let his coordinators call the game.
After all, we are stuck with CLM for several years.

As long as Miles is the Head coach this will never happen

I can only imagine why you have a mere 21 posts.

We are not stuck with him. He does some bone headed things, but overall he is a good college coach. This was the first big game that his team was not ready for. He gets a pass. He is better than most.

OK, I have more posts and I agree with the OP.
Has Les Miles ever been an OC in college or the pros? I don't think so.
Miles needs to stay the frick away from the offense and hire an OC who can coach offense and make player personnel decisions based on football logic (not Miles Logic).

I honestly wouldn't mind seeing Chavis be head coach. Then again, I wouldn't mind winning a million dollars.

Agree. Les needs to become the JoPa of LSU. Leave the nuts and bolts to someone else. Do whatever necessary to keep Chavis, hire a competent OC and go back to recruiting.

Les will never hire and OC that will tell him let me do my job.....He wants a yes man. The only reason he got Chavis..he would have been fired if not turning the defense around..He will continue as a sub-par offense game play...that he can control..
