It's not so much that it was a "non-Penn State" guy. They thought they could land a bigger name coach if they had to go outside of "the family".
They were throwing out names like Les Miles, Urban Meyer and Jon Gruden. Delusional.

I don't know what all the alumni/boosters are whining about.Do they really want to hire a "family member" that might have to testify what he knew about their little safe house for monsters?
