Is the only way to determine a valid ticket is to have it scanned at the door as you enter?

Can superdome box office scan a ticket for authenticity before game?

Just Curious

Many big game tickets have information that can only be seen with a black light. You may try and find out of that is the case if you know someone with a legitimate ticket

I wonder how hard it would be to set up a kiosk where people can validate tixs before making the purchase. I bet it would cut back the counterfeiting.

Counterfit tickets are not really the big problem.

What is occurring is people are converting the tickets to email format.... then selling their paper ticket to scammers.... who then sell them to buyers are scalper prices.... but the bar codes on the actual tickets are no longer any good.

Someone said something in another thread about going to the official ticket exchange and listing the tickets... if the exchange accepts the ticket numbers... they are still valid.

Makes sense, but I have not tried or verified this.

was wondering the same. I received my tickets and they seem thin and flimsy to me.

Yes same here, my ticket was flimsy and I thought I purchased a fake ticket. I went on the bcs ticket exchange and imputed my tickets as if I was going to sell. Before I submitted the sale purchase it authenticated my ticket. With the bar code number it gave me section seat and row. This is the easiest way to verify authenticity of ticket!
