I'll take a Walmart, even a Whole Foods one, before I'd take a Sucre king cake. However, I heard they changed the recipe this year (probably due to my long winded letter I wrote them two years ago about how their version of the king cake was disgracing many tourist and Tulane students' view of the king cake), so it's no longer nearly as dry. Now, according to the T.P., it's overly buttery. I may give one a sample test, if I can muster the courage to enter Sucre again.
