Actually right in the sense he "started building the recruiting fence" but it had significant gaps worthy of mention. Dinardo hated the two-sport athlete(see Kennison) thus some of the best two-sport players left the state.

Henry clashed w/ Dinardo over Kennison and Chris Collins. Enough clash that they had to meet w/ the AD. DiNardo won, but only after Kennison left.

Saban embraced two-sport players even to the point of attending the NCAA track championship at LSU to support his players. He went crazy(happy) at the end of the 400m hurdles when Bazille(sp??), I think, finished top-3 or 4.

Chris Cummings, maybe? I know it is a name certain to draw laughter from the 13-to-20 year old set, but I'm certain that's how it was spelled.
