I know that LSU, Alabama, Florida, and Arkansas measure their programs by the number of BCS bowls that you play in every year. However, I think going to a bowl should be an accomplishment like in was in the 80's when you actually had to win some games and you had a smile on your face bc you had a good year..ie. 8-3 or 9-2. Now-a-days, everybody who goes 6-6 has their own bowl and I think that is absurd. I know the bowls hire people and ESPN loves to televise these smaller bowls, but a bowl invite should retain some honor to it and not bc you did not have a losing record. Cut the bowls from 35 down to about 20 games. IMO.
