Hey guys! I have been a guest on this site for quite sometime and decided to register as a member. I own and operate a charter fishing business out of Bayou Dularge and notice quite a bit of discussion on the forum about this area. As I'm sure you know, Bayou Dularge has grown into an extremely good fishing area and the fishing is absolutely amazing right now. I am here to give advice, and help out sportsmen on this site with information about the Bayou Dularge area. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have! Hope to chat with you guys!

Capt. Travis Lovell

Welcome. Work, family, and hunting keeps me off the water this time of year.

Ha. I'll do my best at pointing my finger in the right direction. Speckled Trout are in their winter patterns and can easily be caught right now. Over the last few weeks, the trout fishing has been INSANE!

For anyone fishing out of the Falgout Canal Marina, you really don't have to go much further than Lake DeCade right now. The action there has been HOT! If the winds pick up and run you out of the lake, simply hit some of the dead end canals off of the lake and you should find fish!

To those that fish out of Jug's Launch, all of the normal winter hot spots have been producing fish. Any of the main waterways north of Sister Lake have been target areas. The key is current and water temperature. Any of the run outs into Bayou Sauveur and Bayou du Nord have been great if there's current. For anyone looking to battle the crowd, you can't ever go wrong with the Tank Battery Canal in North Bayou Sauveur.

Me too. Bowie's apparently sell them, but they wouldn't answer the phone any of the 5 times I called last year. Did OK w/o them.

Your first requirement if you want to post on TD is to bring the first 25 posters in this thread on a FREE guided fishing trip...you know to make sure your company is legit and all...then we will proceed with promoting your company on the OB. You can start with me. I'll await your email verifying free trip. Thanks.

BTW...I'm from Walker to so you can pick me up on your way.

Btw, just bc a guy is a "guide" doesn't make him a good fisherman... I have friends that are "guides" and I won't show them shite (no offense OP, just making a statement)

Welcome to the board. I'm from Houma and my family has a camp near Falgout...still trying to learn the area. So I'll be watching this thread. What have you been having most success with for the trout this winter? Popping corks? Swim baits?

It's perfect really. People go to Catfish Lake and catch fish, but have to fight other people for them. I go to our lease and rarely see another boat(there are other members..I think 19 others?).
