Being there last night brought back some nice memories...need to keep this train moving. How nice is it to know that we at least have a team that can compete with the big dogs on a given night? Last years team would have definately got blown out the gym after a 13-0 deficit. All the credit to Bass, White, and Storm for getting through that terrible start. Just really excited

Wait till this team gets Stringer back. They're going to cause teams fits.

Yeah but TJ, gets the most excited when #32 John I,is making open shots and defending because he knows he's one good SG away from being a very good team.Or if Jalen Courtney looks good, and play some SF,and send RTurner to SG, that would get him over the top too.

thats exactly right....amazing how much u can see the difference from this years team and last. That team was out of games in the first half most of the year. This team has a certain fight to them and the added talent definately is showing

Anthony Hickey is going to turn into my favorite basketball Tiger not named Darrel Mitchell

i think turner is the key to the difference between a solid team and an average/below average team. when his shots are falling, the inside game is much more open and the big guys can operate in the post. when he's on like last night, the complexion of the offense is totally different. many more opportunities for everyone else.

The fake pass and subsequent lay up by Bass is a sign of professionalism.Hope he breaks out with a shooting game on a big dog.

Honestly though....if you can keep holding teams to 55-65 points then theres no reason we shouldnt be in every single game this year. The defense is playing lights out and its really nice have some presence under the rim with Big Ham and company. Them boys were banging under the hoop last night. I really dont believe marquette even remotely thought we would challenge them much less beat them

Hickey is the key.
We have needed a PG for soooooooo fricking long. See how much better it makes a team? It's just night and day from last 2 years.

that and having big men who don't get pushed around.

Yeah we finally have some fatasses down low that aren't afraid to brush up with the opponent. This team isn't soft, thats for sure.
If we get our FT shooting back up to where it has been and Stringer comes back full force, we will be very solid the rest of the way.
Need to limit dumbass turnovers though. O'Bryant needs to grow up for us to make a solid late year run IMO. We need his size and we need the depth late in games.

man we need to get johnny going again. i did like his hustle and effort though, he's getting better in that regard.

I love johnny but damn he looked awful for a stretch last night in the beginning of the second half.

He needs to work on ball security and awareness on the court though. Damn did he look lost out there a few times.

Glad to see some of yall are now on the bandwagon. For the past six months all ive heard from you retards on here is that this is Trents last year, the recruiting class sucks except bryant, and they still arent good enough to do anything.
Hickey has alot to improve before SEC play. However, he could contend for Freshman of the year. More penetration and the use of the screens much better, his assist double.
Obryant is only starting so he doesnt transfer because he sure is hell wouldnt get drafted.
Isaac is impressive, he doesnt try to do to much and thats alot to ask from a freshmen getting those minutes.
Upperclassmen Bout time white! Warren very consistent.
Hamilton should be the offensive first option.
Thanks for listening.

O'Bryant will come around with time. Definately looked like a young guy out there last night. That block he had was nasty for sure. Good out of conference schedule for him to learn from this year. Cant wait for the Virginia game. We owe them big time

I'm most impressed with Hamilton. I didn't expect him to be this good.
Hickey is a stud PG, great addition.
Turner needs to keep playing like he did last night and we'll be a pretty solid team.

What I loved seeing last night was the defensive intensity that LSU had.
At the beginning of the game, Mar. was getting after it on both ends of the court.
When TJ brought in White, Warren, and Bass they got physical and the rest of the team followed suit.
This team has the makings of being a solid team. But, they still have to keep improving.
Hickey does it all. He does get out of control at times, but he's awesome to watch and he's fearless.
Turner is the key to this team. He has the talent to put up 20 on a given night. But, when he struggles LSU struggles to score. Every time Marq tried to pull the game out, Turner nailed a huge shot.
Hamilton is simply a solid big man. He does so many little things for this team. One huge thing he does is draw charges in the paint.
Warren was great last night. He energized the entire team last night. I also thought he did a pretty good job on #32 (who is a damn good player)
Isaac has a ton of potential. He has a nice stroke and plays solid D.
JOB struggled mightily last night. He played hard, but just seemed a step slow. I honestly think the game was just moving a little too fast for him last night. LSU still needs this guy as the season moves along and I think he'll slowly improve into a really good PF.
White is what he is. Last night he did a good job of bringing energy off the bench. He still tries to do too much at times, but that's not killer in small doses.
Bass is solid. He's been good as an on-ball defender. Couldn't ask for much better out of a reserve PG.
Lugwig struggled against Marq's speed and athleticism last night. But, he's a good guy off the bench for solid minutes.
All this without Stringer. While we give up a little D with Stringer, his O usually makes up for it. Plus, this team needs guys that can knock down shots.
I don't think this team is great by no means. But, they can be really solid. They just have to keep improving.
One other thing, last night TJ had some fire on the sidelines. The most I've seen out of him in a while. I think he realizes how important that game was to get the fan interest back.
