We know Cakes is going on loan to Everton.
Other stories to watch:
Does Chelsea make a panic signing?
Does Arsene actually buy someone worthwhile?
Does 'Arry let Kranjcar leave?
Does RvP move to Real Madrid/Barca?
Does Llorente stay put?
Rangers, Hearts, Everton(?), etc. firesales.
Does Swansea keep hold of Vorm?
Does Neymar finally leave Santos?
What does LA do?

In the middle of the season? Would be rather unprecedented (for Arsenal), and would take a transfer offer upwards of £40 million. Arsene would most definitely say no, and wait until the summer if those two teams came in with an offer.

Barca just lost Villa for the season and Real's going to panic buy someone.

No chance.

They could offer absolutely any amount of money, and it's still not happening in winter. It would absolutely kill Arsenal's top 4 chances and CL campaign.

They need to overhaul that team. Very old, though those old players still perform. If they want to play the high line like AVB wants, they need an RB, a CB or two, and a winger/AM.

I'd be surprised if he leaves in the window. They just signed him. He'll leave in the summer. Very impressive GK.
What's more likely this window is a bunch of disgruntled players get shipped elsewhere, lots of loans, and a star player leaves his club for other opportunities (Podolski?)

Liverpool will sign a forward.
Llorente? Muniain? Shaqiri? Ocampos? Hazard?
Also, will the Reds buy a replacement DM for Lucas? Maybe get someone on loan?
Also, does Torres stay with Chelsea?
Berbatov out at United?

RVP could play the wing for them, but he'd be a touchline winger. At striker, he would occupy the same space Messi does, as his play is crucial to our build-up. I don't see how he fits into Barca's system. He might fit into Real's system a little better, but he'd get in the way of Ozil, Ronaldo, and Di Maria. In truth, he gets chances in Arsenal's system because the formation hinges on his ability to play as a false nine. Think Carlos Tevez in 2010/11.
I could see Barca going after a Eden Hazard type winger, as they need someone who is comfortable in a fluid front three (in truth RVP is very comfortable in a fluid three when he is the focal point). Real wants Hazard as well, and I think there is some possibility that he moves this window.

The thing about Arsenal is they always try to walk it in.

why would we panic buy? that's just silly bhoy.

Vorm must stay at Swansea if they have any hope of staying up this year. Whatever transfer fee they would receive could not off set the lost in revenue from dropping back into the Championship.
City won't loan Tevez and AC can't afford to buy him

And some more talking points:
And more Ozil rumors...which I'm watching intently
quote:
Chelsea duo Florent Malouda and Salomon Kalou are being targeted for mega-wages moves to Russia. Anzhi Makhachkala want Malouda and are willing to pay the 31-year-old Frenchman £150,000 a week while they and Lokomotiv Moscow fancy 26-year-old Kalou who could earn £120,000 a week.
quote:
Arsenal are ready to sell 30-year-old winger Andrey Arshavin and will listen to offers for the Russian forward in January.
quote:
The Old Trafford club are also chasing Xherdan Shaqiri, the man dubbed the new Lionel Messi. The 20-year-old, who helped Basel dump United out of the Champions League earlier this month, is also being tracked by Liverpool.

Real would be extremely stupid to let Ozil go.

He'd fit in Arsenal's system better than he would in Liverpool's therefore I shall pine for him, only to be disappointed when he doesn't come to us.

We should have bought him years ago when we were first linked to him. Anyway, Juventus is always linked with players, but they never buy them. And Real would be extremely stupid to give up Ozil.

It's funny how Ozil has gone from god to goat in 6 months... I don't think there's anyway he is sold and just a jose motivational tactic..
For LFC, if we buy a striker, I don't see it being a big name... I see a Luuk De Jong or someone like that (Jen Chang had some good insight on who LFC had been scouting yesterday)...
Would be ecstatic if it was Leandro Damiao...
