I have a question about the upper decks.
In a lot of other stadiums, the upper decks cover the bowl by a 1/4th or so.
WHy don't Tiger Stadium's Upper Decks cover the bowl, any?
It would get the Upper Deck crowds closer to the game without limiting the view of the field.
If they do cover the bowl, the don't cover the bowl by much.

The only thing I can say for sure is that it costs more money to have the uppers cantilever over the lowers. If I had to guess, money was the driving factor of the upper deck design.
