Well yea, you throw money at it every year for renovations if you want

But at some point it's just not smart business. And by that point it's likely that you're passed up by other programs and their stadium

It will always be "smart business" to renovate that structure because, Bayou Superfest notwithstanding, it is a single purpose facility that is used at most 9 dates a year. As a matter of economics, it is stupid to lay out the capital it would take to build a "new" tiger stadium if it is going to remain a single purpose structure. If "smart business" had anything to do with it, the stadium would be a facility that could host a variety of other events that would bring in revenue.

Which begs the question, why don't Baton Rouge big wigs, the business community, and the university get together and create a bowl game and join the other 3,000 of them. Good facility, not used during bowl season, and a chance to get some more revenue. Plus I want to be on the bowl committee
