I would like to see how many fines Jack Tatum would accumulate. Or Ronnie Lott. Back when safeties were allowed to hit people.

My choices are:

Jim Brown
Johnny Unitas (I got to watch him in the twilight of his career, but wish could've watched more.)
Sammy Baugh
George Blanda (Same as Unitas.)
Frank Gifford
Raymond Berry
Charlie Hennigan (AFL star)

The best era of football in my lifetime was the late 60’s and 70’s. For some of you youngsters, you haven’t seen real defense if you didn’t get to watch Jack Lambert, Jack Tatum, Randy White, Willie Brown, Jake Scott, Dick Butkus, Ted Hendricks, Jack Youngblood, L.C. Greenwood, Joe Green, Deacon Jones, Merlin Olsen, Cliff Harris…
