I believe in the rematch 1996, Fl. beat Fl. State 51-21. Does not speak well for LSU in a rematch game this coming Jan.

The rant. Discovering new and innovative ways to determine that the sky is falling. This week...because of a game in 1996 we will shite the bed in NOLA.

In the regular season game in '96 FSU defenders were hitting Wuerrfel(sp) blatantly after he threw the ball and did it countless times trying to intimidate him and the UF team. They were penalized a couple of times but not nearly every time they did it. Spurrier made it a point to express how pissed he was about it after the game. He was really pissed as were the Gator players for what they percieved to be cheap shots.
Break to Jan 1 '97 and what happens. Spurrier buts wuerffel in the shotgun all night and throws the ball about 75% of the time. The UF players were easily the more motivated group and they punished FSU all night. The score was that bad for a reason.Spurrier was rubbing it in on Bowden and Mickey Andrews for those late hits from the 1st game.

In short, LSU/Bama has none of those hard feelings and reasons for vindication.
