Think this time they'll include the scene from the book where he decapitates the chick and sticks her head on his erect dick and walks around his apartment?

I read the novel so long ago, but isn't there also a scene in the book where he uses a hungry hamster/gerbil on one of his victims?

Christian Bale absolutely nailed his portrayal of Patrick Bateman. I can't think of anyone else in that role. I remember when Leonardo Dicaprio wanted the part and Mary Harron threatened to leave the film.

Bale is kind of a stiff in general, so yeah, I think he works well for playing an emotionless pyschopath.

But it's such an old, dated movie. Truly a product of its time. Clearly it needs the modern treatment. Maybe 3D or something

"His take was to tap the Bret Easton Ellis novel and turn it into a down and dirty new version that imagines how yuppie serial killer Patrick Bateman would fare in New York today, factoring in how the world has changed since the 2000 film that starred Christian Bale."

Considering the book and original film were set in the 80s, we're going to get a snapshot of NYC and American culture in the mid-90s?

These people are fricking morons.

What really sucks is that a remake will probably drop to PG13 so it will make more money. Therefore, the violence/murders will be watered down.

if I'm not mistaken it was a starved rat and it feasted on his victim's insides by way of her lady part... I'm sure that'll make it in the new version for sure!!!

They did such a great job with American Psycho II. What makes you think this won't be brilliant.

I wanted to kill myself after about 20 minutes of American Psycho II. Then I remembered I could just press "Stop", and it would go away.
