You don't really "spy" any position but QB.
And a "spy" is there in lieu of the QB taking off and running in an un-designed manner.
There is no need to "spy" on Richardson, because any attempt to get the ball to him will be designed.
We simply need to cover him.

I think Baker will be on Richardson almost full time, especially when he makes his way out of the backfield into the flat.
