The fact that the first time we played Bama, the temps were cool-keeping their bigger defensive linemen and linebackers from getting worn out as quickly. I for one think playing on the turf indoors with warmer temps on the field will not only favor the faster team, but also the lighter-more in shape team. That being LSU of course

Much of that will even out - defenses have to react - our speed on offense should look a little better against their DL and LBers, but their DBs will have better closing speed - so, slight edge to us. TR is not a speed back, but is a hand full, especially if he's fully up to speed. There's no question we pursue sideline-to-sideline well, but turf may benefit TR.

Neither team is a finesse team. A finesse team would have a slight advantage, just playing on turf. I for 1 am glad weather and field conditions will not be a factor, after the terrible experience in the bowl against Penn State.

On a related note. I read years ago that psychological stress in an athletic event increases fatigue rate (and, no, I'm not gonna search it and link it).

The stress level was obviously high in the first LSU-Bama game but it will be higher this time.

That equates to an advantage to the team that substitutes the most. That would be LSU.
