According to everything I read Chavis stuck him with that name. Ranters say it was them? BUT TM7 said it was Chavis. What gives?

Don't know if Chavis coined the nickname for him, but Mathieu stated on an interview this weekend that Chief was the one who showed him the now-famous You-Tube video.

I think TM7 said during the Erin Andrews interview that it started to stick when Chavis started to use it. Or maybe it was the first time TM7 heard it used. Something like that. No way did Chavis pull that out of thin air.

Of course it was coined here, In August, by MikeLinebacker.

It is true tho, Chavis used it in a defensive meeting & the rest of the team started using it & it stuck. But this was Mid-Semptember, long after MLs thread.

Chavis did not coin it... unless MikeLinebacker = The Chief

I'd like to take this time to remember myself as one of the early defenders of the HB nickname and a hater of that stupid LBOH name.
