Ducks in Hard Rain

After a lackluster, wet morning today I got to looking at previous season results. I really can't remember more than a couple of good days in heavy rain. We have had good shoots in light rain, especially when it stops, but I can't really remember more than one or two good hunts in all my years in a steady heavy rain. Anyone here have the same kind of results? I seem to have had best success in flooded fields on days like this maybe because the birds are looking for freshly flooded ground?

Where are you hunting? I'm stuck in the split right now.
ETA: Forgot the West zone had reopened.

I always had better results with light rain + wind, blinding sideways rain is no good. Overcast days with no rain are terrible. Blue bird days above average. Fog also sucks although it might mean a few more geese.
There's my 2 cents

I've had better luck in the flooded timber during a hard rain.

Some of my best hunts have come during a hard rain.

During light rain can be good in the rice since birds commonly leave marsh seeking freshly flooded ground after a storm. In the marsh (and rice for that matter) i've had good success right before and right after a hard rain event. Was out at White Lake a few years ago when a front came through on us, good before and after it passed.
