yes they do.
They are the second best team in the land.
BSC was designed to have the 2 best teams play.
Its easy.. LSU is #1 alabama is #2.
Being as weve already played them and they are in the same divsion/conference mean absolutley nothing.

If LSU had lost that game nov 5th and we were ranked #2, every person hear bithching about alabama would be singing a different tune.

Thanks.

Nothing worse than a bama apologist as an LSU fan.

The regular season means too much in college football to give Bama a free pass and play on house money..

So why wasn't there a rematch with Ohio St / Michigan? They had an epic game and same season result.. but they let a new team get a shot..

Bama had their shot. They had it at HOME! They got whipped in OT. Case closed. Let an actual conference champ get theirs.. especially if it's OSU who has more quality wins.. and loss was actually on the road given really horrible circumstances.. and in a game that they actually were up big and got stuck on cruise control.

By what measure are they the second best team in the land?
If it's their ranking, do they become third best team overnight if the votes change their mind next week.
If it's the quality of their loss to now undefeated LSU, they are hitching their wagon to LSU's star and not to their performance.

Only reason that Bama is considered in the equation is that they'be not lost on the final day like Michigan. If an undefeated Bama loses on the final day and OSU wins, OSU is in.

Just because you bitch doesn't make your team any better. If LSU loses and gets voted out of top spot or even the top two, it's the way the system is setup. You are no longer undefeated and go with the ranking you get.

It's the 2 HIGHEST RANKED teams. That's a diff that will probably play out.

Just like everyone knew Bama was better than Utah in the Sugarbowl, just like everyone knew Miami was better than Bama in 92, just like everyone knew Ohio State was better than Florida in 06. You can't say that Bama is better than a team they haven't played.
