Looks to be a mature deer. Not a wall hanger but a shooter for sure.

He looks like he is 4.5 to 5.5 to me judging from just this pic. Do you have anymore pics of him?

My camera caught him twice as he was walking by. Here is the other one but that is all I have of him. I think he might be the same deer I have been hunting for a few years but last year I thought he was bigger(Horns wise).

Good luck on killing him. He is definitely old enough. It is a good sign that you have daytime pics of him this time of year. Is it time for rut where you are?

What makes you say this Hat?

Back legs/ gland area don't look black...his bases look pretty clean...so making rubs and scraps doesn't seem to have started yet....

I think his neck is just big not really swollen.

Also I would say 4.5 max....his back looks pretty flat...he hasn't really gotten that sway back look just yet....but he has a nice brisket and a decent belly started.

He is not rutting I can promise you that. We never see deer rutting until January... He is just a big boy.

At first glance I thought 3.5, he's doesn't have much of a belly, but after looking again I'd say 4.5. He's pretty thick in the shoulders and has a deep chest.

I would consider that a very good deer. Good mass, above average time length, and good beam length. He only lacks a little in inside spread, which is the most overrated measurement when trying to score a live deer.

I have killed 3 deer at my place over the past 8 years that have racks as big or bigger but not sure I have killed a deer with the size of this one.

I freaking love this time of year!!!!!!!
Bucks starting to put on their winter coats, necks swelling, trees starting to show up with rubs.

If I could just get some of the acorns to rot in 2 or # weeks its gonna be on! As far as this buck goes, 4.5 maybe 3. A shooter for sure

Nice, be thankful you have quality deer like that to hunt. I hunt in the piney south Arkansas woods. A 160lb 120" deer is a stud on our lease. We get pictures of 140-150 deer, but they are few and far between. Between 6 of us running 2-3 cameras each we may get pictures of 1 deer a year in that size range.

A pine tree can be seen. That means that deer is a wall hanger.

No high fence! Just family land north of St. Francisville. This spot is a tough one to hunt because it is close to the property line(I respect other peoples land and will not hang a stand within 50 yards of propery line) so I am lmited of putting my stand on the north side of where the deer move from. This isn't good most of hunting season with a north wind and it fairly think so being more than 50 yards away is tough. Not sure if this is the same buck I was chasing all of last year are not but I saw him twice last year and never got a shot. This year I am better prepared and hopefully will get my chance.

Here are some not so good pictures from last year same spot just camera facing the opposite way(Glad I got a better camera ):
