I noticed the players on both sides slipping often in the Arkansas game. The field sure looks good but the traction looks pretty bad. Did we re-sod this year again?

Just messing with you, man.

I really have no idea. I was on the field earlier this year and it was great.

But there have been some big chunks pulled up over the last few games. Haven't gotten a ton of rain to make it all soft and easy to tear up. Basically, I

I hate FieldTurf and hope we never see it.

I would like to have Auburn's grounds crew. The field at Jordan-Hare always looks perfect.

I saw auburn up close this year on a tour. I was shocked how thin the grass is and how hard the surface is, with no sub-level drainage.
I think they re-sod every year due to the country music concert...forgot the name of it. Part of the contract is the promoters pay for re-sodding.

I am slowly warming to the idea of field turf. Apparently lack of sunlight is an issue due to the configuration of the upper decks. If they build the SEZ addition it will be even worse.

Yes, it was re-sodded the past 2 yrs. That is part of the contract with the Bayou Country Superfest. They have to re-sod the field after the concert.

Miles thinks the turf was good.

“I can tell you that our grounds people, I know that we were only in the stadium six times, for us to go into the last weekend of the season and have a turf to play on as quality of footing and spectacular of a surface it was, my hats off to those people. They did a lot of hard work.”
