Buddy, I enjoy your posts, but honestly, you need to stop listening to the ravings of these idiots who are drunk on the bama kool-aid. They simply can't accept "9-6 in Tuscaloosa", and it's warped their minds.

There is plenty of kool-aid on both sides. Kool-aid drinking Bama fans want to argue that Bama was really the better team (even though they lost). Kool-aid drinking LSU fans want to believe that there is a 2 TD difference when playing at home vs. playing away when its typically closer to 3 points. That's not a lot. In the Bama/LSU series, since 1980 the home team has won only 39.1% of the time. Could LSU win by 14 or more? Its possible, but its unlikely either team will win by a lot. You can take all the stats, the fact that Bama only punted twice, the overtime performances, and even the score of the previous game and toss them because if Bama and LSU square off, all that will really matter is what happens in the NC game. I know, it doesn't seem fair to me either but its more fair than giving a less deserving team a shot at the NC.

Those two points are nothing alike. One of them is just LSU bravado. I knew many a Bama fan IRL that told me they were going to steamroll LSU in Tuscaloosa. One guy bet me 100 bucks and even though I've kidded around with him asking me for my money, he hasn't paid me yet. You get a few bones broken by a bookie if you do that, but anyway...back to the point.

The other point is Bama denial even though the facts are right there in their face that they lost, fair and square. It isn't like LSU beat them on a tipped hail mary pass in the final seconds. They flat out lost the game. LSU defense shut down Bama in the 2nd half and put enough points up on the board to bring it to OT. I'm still pissed the score wasn't 14-6 in regulation, because all Shep has to do is walk into the end zone instead of falling down, and if Ware runs left instead of up the gut he strolls into the endzone too.

Only punted twice but should have 3 more times on missed FG Attempts.
