ESPN still can't grasp the concept of LSU beating Bama in Tuscaloosa so this doesn't surprise me, lol!

The game was on CBS and if it is not on ESPN, it doesn't exist for them. So as far as they are concerned, the game didn't happen and Bama under the galactic uber-lord Saban are 11-0 and are going to meet LSU in the NC for the first time.

mark may said earlier that bama wins if they dont miss 4 field goals and that they did not lose in regulation.also pointed out that bama had a bunch of missed opportunities.

I don't think you can assume this. A lot would depend on how badly LSU loses.

If LSU loses to Georgia then chances are, Bama will be #1 in both human polls. Bama's mid season loss was in overtime while LSU's loss was late. If LSU loses a close game, then LSU would only barely trail Bama in the human polls because some voters would still put LSU at #1. A bigger loss could translate to a bigger point spread in the human polls.

The computers would still have LSU ahead of Bama because LSU's loss would also hurt Bama. The gap would be less though because both teams would be 1-1. LSU would have the tougher SOS so would lead in most computers. So depending on the gaps in the human and computer polls, the computers may or may not be enough to keep LSU ahead of Bama.

Chances are, the computers would put OSU at #1, LSU at #2 and Bama at #3. Regardless, it would be a mess to determine which two teams went to he NC game. It could be any 2 of the three.

Computers don't care. They care about who beat who and strength of schedule. OSU will have the toughest SOS of the three so computers would rank them first, followed by LSU and Bama. Human polls won't care as much about the home field compared to when each team loss and by how much. Heck, I have seen teams jump the team that beat them only 1 or 2 weeks later when the original winner took a loss. Its annoying and illogical really. It would depend on how LSU badly lost.

The funnest way LSU could lose is something that would drive SEC haters insane. If LSU simply declined to play in the SECCG (say to avoid injury) and just forfeited the game... LSU would remain #1. Alabama would remain #2. Georgia, the SEC champ, would then then go to the Sugar Bowl putting a 3rd SEC team in the BCS! Hahahaha There is some obscure rule in the BCS that says that if a conference puts 2 teams in the NC and if neither are the conference champ, then the conference champ can then go to a BSC game too. This supersedes the 2 team per conference limitation.

LSU's loss would be so late it is in a game that the Gumps did not even earn the right to play it

Bama would have beaten us if they scored more than we did. The fact is they didn't. Get over it

If LSU loses (no matter what the score is), LSU would have a better record than bama (12-1 vs 11-1) AND beat bama AND played a tougher schedule than bama AND won the division bama plays in

If Georgia beats LSU, LSU will be ahead of Bama, and deservedly so. This is a no-brainer.

1st of all LSU will NOT lose to UGA. 2nd of all OSU beating OU would NOT vault them ahead of LSU even with a loss to UGA. As a Bama fan you should be worried and turn into an OU fan if you want any shot at LSU. OSU would go ahead of Bama wih a win.

If LSU got "punished" for losing a championship game against another highly ranked team, and was leapt by a team that didn't even qualify for that game, played a much easier schedule, and lost head-to-head, then that should officially nuke the current BCS.

It's 2003 all over again. I've been screaming this for the last two weeks. And the ironic part is that UGA's name is in the picture here.

Once again, the only teams that could pull that kind of shite off are Bama, USC and Notre Dame if they were in a similar scenario. There would be total amnesia concerning LSU's entire season at that point.

Are you kidding. ESPN hyped that game to the point of being nausea inducing. They held college gameday there and for a solid week it was their lead topic on every show.

ESPN employs a boatload of fools but your criticism of them ignoring non ESPN games doesn't hold water.
