Hard to argue with the results, but in terms of Miles being a class act and man of honor, I would say that his handling of Lee tarnished that aspect of his reputation.

Posted byMessageSquirrelyBamaDid Miles' handling of Lee help or hurt your opinion of him (Miles)Not trying to dis LSU here because I think LSU has got a great team, but just wanted to state a outsiders opinion with this. Seems Lee is getting a raw deal in this situation. Lee has done everything asked of him, and one slip-up game this season. He's thrown out like the trash it seems. But at the same time. I'm happy Bama's coaches are getting more game-film on JJ(To prepare for) by seeing JJ running this seasons LSU offense. Running QB's seem to be one of Bama's weak points on Defense, so any help there is good. Miles is a great person, and one of my favorite coaches. It will take more than this to hurt his good-guy image. Now it might come back to bite him later on though if Lee is need in the Arkansas game. Once a player feels he's on a very short leash. It can effect a QB's decision making when this is the case. This still won't hurt Miles good image though.

agree with everything here....except for the Roll Tide obviously..

For the record, JJ is the better athlete. It's obvious Miles likes his mobility. The issue is how it's been handled last 2 weeks. Like, why announce Lee as starter if he ain't starting?

or barring them both from speaking to the media...i personally dont think there is any love lost between the two and he's keeping that nipped tight...

The only thing that matters is winning. Whoever puuts the team in position to win shhould start. Nothing else counts. I'm glad that JL got us through, but he is a second string QB. I have confidence in Coach Miles on this. Win or lose JJ is our starrting QB now and we have to support him.

If JJ plays majority of Ark game and Bama game, and LSU loses one of them.........then this place will go crazy with "Lee should of played, he would of won". Am I right, or am I right?

Boo fricking hoo. I love Jarrett Lee, but I love LSU waaaaaaay more. And right now we're 11-0 and #1 in the country.

This pretty much sums it up.
I think that Jefferson gives us the best chance at moving the ball effectively. Lee was given his time and he led the team great, but it was time to move back to Jefferswag.

Do we have these types of threads when Michael Ford gets benched?

true but, with the RB's there is a known factor for benching..fumbling....with the QB's it kinda obvious that Les just likes JJ for some reason and will do anything to anyone to put him in the game.....I knew this when he was suspended for 4 games, was reinstated the day the charges were reduced, Jlee drives the offense down the field to the 1 yard line and Les gives the ball to JJ to score the TD when 67 other players on the bench could have done the same thing...

Why is it so hard for you to admit JJ looks good this year?

No. 1 rule of quarterbacking is when you have the job, don't give them an excuse to take you out.

I think the pro Jlee people would want that rule to apply to JJ...

I bet you also think that every kid that participates in an athletic event should also receive a trophy. Why can't people drop this stupid stuff? I guess if we were 9-2 but Lee had played whatever number of snaps you think he should have played to make sure he didn't possibly get his feelings hurt than you would be happier than you are today. If Lee had played more but was not the best qb on the team what would you have to say about the better qbs that were sitting over on the bench? Would you defend them?

And Lee hurt his chances last night when he had that big ole smirk on his face. That will be seen on film, and it said a lot about his role as a TEAM player.

guess you missed all those interviews where JJ said all his I's, Me's and My's..."i out the team on my back" nonsense...

Why has nobody brought up Lee looking shell shocked in the Bama game? What if he's lost the edge? What if he came out after pick #2 and told Miles he was done? Would you feel better if CLM ran around calling Lee a quitter? All I know is this: the last pick he threw against Bama looked like a desperation toss to brace for the hit coming from the linebacker.

Lee is on the verge of academic ineligibility according to multiple sources close to the program.

I don't really give a frick if you believe me or not.

You take this JJ stuff way to personally. You don't know what the problem was with Lee and it appears Miles just decided to start JJ which was his choice and he was entitled to do it. Why is it so hard for you to believe it was a choice?

what about JJ with his lost look as well... Apparently you have a short memory when it comes to one player....

I really don't. At all. I get aggravated with the "fairness" and "equality" crowd because it is a ridiculous position to have on the situation.

Academics. I am really confident about where I heard it from.

I don't doubt that Miles likes JJ to be the starter more than Lee. But there is more at play here than you think.
