Not at all. Jordan Jefferson was the starter for this team from the end of spring practice until his four game suspension. Jarrett Lee, the backup QB, came in and performed admirably. And honestly, coming from a senior QB with significant playing experience, that should have been expected.
In fact, I would say Les handled the situation better than any other coach in college football. If Les stays with Lee in that Bama game, LSU loses. Jordan Jefferson was the Offensive MVP of that game, and he's only improved since then.
This was always Jordan Jefferson's team and the other guys have seemed to really rally behind him in a big way.
Last night's game plan was brilliant and I believe that's how LSU should attack opposing defenses going forward. Jefferson and Lee don't have to be superstars. They just need to make plays (being perfect like they were last night sure helps) and don't put the defense in a tough situation.
