Well finally I don't have to wait two months to get a film here after y'all are done watching it, and this week The Adventures of Tintin was released in China. Just got back from watching it, and man is it just great.
This film is something we haven't seen in quite some time: a good adventure movie. The genre was basically dead, but this film was such a breath of fresh air. Two guys going on an adventure together that's actually exciting, funny, and thrilling. The animation is simply amazing, the characters are great, and the action is particullarly impressive. The most impressive action sequence takes place in one shot for 5 minutes all over a Middle Eastern city. If they managed to somehow pull off this scene in live action, I'd say it would almost without question be the best action sequence ever.
While Haddock's drunkenness may be a problem that some parents would have, I say this is a perfect film for everyone to go see. It captures the spirit of the 80s adventure movies and that makes it great.
3.5 out of 4 stars

I remember watching the cartoon show as a kid and I loved it. I am really excited to see this movie. I was worried it wouldn't get a lot of attention since I seem to be the only person I know who ever saw the show.
I'm glad it was good. I will definitely check it out.

Also definitely see it in 3-D. It's worth the admission price.

Yeah Snowy is really well utilized in the film as well and another reason this couldn't work in live action.
