BCS formula question

I understand that the formula is 1/3 Coaches, 1/3 Harris, 1/3 computers...my question is how is the human poll data entered. Is it based only on final numerical ranking (#1, #2) or based on points (votes) received?

no ap in the formula, it's the harris
and it's based on votes with the human polls, and numerical ranking average for the computers.
