Just curious if I am missing something. Seems like a good spur to intelligent convo on the board.

im wondering if you can read..
If so, then how did you miss the sticky thread at the top of the page, that says, WHY IS MY THREAD ANCHORED??

Please tell me which of the six anchoring categories it applies to. That actually is my question. Sorry if I did not convey my confusion correctly.

Right. It was just so other Tiger fans could listen to Hanagriff's show.
None of the reasons in the thread at the top of the page apply.
"1. The subject of the thread is too short and not descriptive enough. We often see users just put one word or sometimes two words. These are immediately anchored. Again, be descriptive.
2. The subject of the thread is cut off. This is a problem that has been popping up a lot lately. A user will post a subject such as:
3. THE SUBJECT OR POST IS IN ALL CAPS. These are immediately anchored. All caps are hard to read and comes across as shouting.
4. There is already a thread on the info that you are posting. This is self-explanatory. We don't need 10 threads on the board announcing what Robert Smith just said about LSU. We usually keep the thread with the best subject, and anchor/delete the repeat threads.
5. The topic has been beaten to death. Sometimes, topics have run their course and need to just fade away.
6. A thread has gone off topic. If the replies inside a thread have nothing to do with the main idea in the subject, we often anchor."
I really would like to hear a legitimate reason. I didn't mean to start a thread I wasn't supposed to start but none of the reasons say anything about do not start threads promoting something for LSU.
I'm not complaining or anything of the sort, just trying to understand.
