True. Except there are 20 other thread making the same point.

I want nothing to do with LSU in New Orleans.

I want to knock off a big 10 team.

I like UO. I'll be rooting for you guys.

However, we both know UO vs. anyone in the B1G wouldn't be much of a game.

And then you can act like Chip Kelly is still infallible by continuing to beat up on mediocrity.

Why is it "luck" is LSU wins by 3 in Tuscaloosa, but "earned" if Bama wins.

frick this noise. You people are idiots.

If Bama had won the game, the argument would go vice versa. That's what happens in competitive games. It was deserved albeit a "little" lucky. Bama should be able to put 1-4 of those away. They didn't. It's part of the game. Beside you had to go to their place. Shame on them.

Once again, assumes non-gimme field goals are gimme's.

What part, specifically, was lucky?

The one that they were going to put away? LSU blocked it.

Just dumb luck, I guess.

Yet we're still "woulda, coulda, shoulda"'d because we didn't beat the perceived best D EVAR "convincingly"

Yes. Although if Wisky ends up there I would call that a good win. MSU I think we shred.

I do want to shed the non-conference big game label and the Big -10 in the rose bowl give us a better chance.

Sorry but running up the score on lowly conference opponents so that Kelly can feel high and mighty so James can be asked to sit for the Heisman ceremony and beating a mediocre team in a mediocre conference isn't really going to help change the perception of Oregon football or the Pac 12 at this time. More of the same.

I agree with all of that. I think most people just feel LSU, despite our wins, our ranking, and everything that goes along with that, continues to be slighted nationally. It's not that LSU was better, it's that another team outplayed us but just couldn't make multiple 50+ yard field goals. Or, well if James isn't hurt and they don't have to play that true frosh, etc. It's a fricking joke at this point, so we react negatively when we hear a player on your team say something to the effect.

This, +1

I HOPE the ducks end up in a bowl with Bama.

Beating a conference champion out of conference will help. We lost to tOSU and BSU out of conference. Beside, we haven't been running up the scores on teams in the PAC. We haven't been running away from teams and if you've been watching closely we actually have been running a slow offense. Likewise, Barner, Carson and DAT have been getting a lot of touches.

You sound butthurt.

Not sure what's funnier:

You giving advice to LSU fan's on a LSU site or

You still trolling the boards after the arse kicking LSU gave your team earlier this year.

It's pretty much Rosebowl or bust for us. I don't think we will be getting an at large. Oregon would have to not be the conference champion and that would only happen with two more losses, which would make it a virtual impossibility.

Everything I've read says LSU would still go to the NCG if you lose one of those games. You still have nothing to complain about.

No.

If Arkansas beats LSU, then the BSC ranking would determine the SEC West Champion. Here are six possible ranking scenarios, and how the 3-way tie would be resovled for each.

LSU - Bama - Arkansas--> LSU goes

LSU - Arkansas - Bama--> Arkansas goes

Bama - LSU - Arkansas--> LSU goes

Bama - Arkansas - LSU--> Bama goes

Arkansas - LSU - Bama--> Arkansas goes

Arkansas - Bama - LSU--> Bama goes

If the team coming out of the SEC West goes on to win the SEC Championship game as expected, then that would be one of the teams in the championship game. The other team will either be PAc 10 or BIG 12 Champion.

The team with the highest BCS ranking is crowned the champion EXCEPT when the two highest ranked teams are within 5 BCS ranking points of one another. That's exactly the scenario we will see if Arkansas beat LSU. In that case it comes down to head-to-head between the two highest ranked teams. The breakdown of the 6 ranking scenarios I posted above is correct.

I have stayed on the MSB but check this every once in awhile. Saw a bunch of outrage over the comment by DAT. Anyway, I only comment when it pertains to the ducks. I have been asked to stick around.

Seriously, I have a pretty thick skin.

This is a fascinating discussion. Personally, I don't care who LSU plays in the National Championship game as long as LSU is playing in the national championship game.

Earlier before LSU played Oregon, Oregon fans were all over this board talking about how Oregon would win. Give Oregon credit, they have a very good team. My reply was this. The game would look a lot like the LSU-Texas A&M game. LSU was going to run between the tackles (alot) to control the clock. LSU was strong and fast enough to match up with Oregon. Who ever plays best will win.
Oregon's turnovers were forced.
Personally I would be honored to play that team again.

LSU can play against anyone. Doesn't mean LSU can't lose. They can.
Having said that, LSU is very capable of beating Oregon again.

I read an article by someone that ran a bunch a simulations and conclusion was that it would be hard for LSU to be pushed out at this point with the strength of schedule.

So, meaning scenario #1 is inevitable.

The only scenario that really seams plausible that keeps you out is LSU > Arky > Bama. However, Bama throttle Arky, so I believe the humans put LSU and Bama ahead of them. I really think an Arky win would be viewd as fluky by the humans. I dunno, it's hard to conceive of this scenario. It would be a close call though.
