The lack of pressure with our base dline is concerning. We can only seem to get pressure when we blitz, this is not a good thing against a team like Arkansas that can light us up with hot reads. I am starting to wonder if they are told to hold their blocks, but they are not getting pressure until late in the game or on a blitz.

Another thing is our interior run blocking of our oline. For all intents and purposes our interior run game is completely dead and just about wasted plays it seems. We hardly ever run stretch or power plays, and I cannot for the life of me understand why we don't, but continue to go up the middle when it's clearly not working.

I really don't know what to say about our inability to cover running backs and TE's with our running backs. Having hatched or francios 1 on 1 with them is a joke. It is a crying shame that we cannot replace one of these lber's with loston in our 5 and 10 package. Francios looks lost and hatcher can't tackle in the open field.

Our wr's have been better, but they could certainly improve. We run the same routes over and over. That quick slant that JL threw to Boone last night was a step in the right direction. Is seems we have no passing game under 20 yards. It looks like we are trying to get familiar with it cause if we don't, Wilson will eat us alive with short routes all day long with our lber's covering.

We ran 1 screen with ware and it got us a TD. Havent seen it since. Neither qb can run the bubble screen very well and really think more slip screens and passes to RBs would get the ball out of JJs hand faster and help lee avoid the rush. I really wish they would've attempted more of that kind of stuff last night but this is not the kind of offense we have and ware would be really good out the backfield. Some drags and more curls too. I would like to see Landry or randle in some crossing routes. It seems obj is not ready for that and think Landry is physical enough for it.

Anyway, I think without any changes we could definetly still go undefeated, but worried nonetheless.

I don't give a crap who the qb is.

Why are you worried? I just don't understand this sentiment. I'll worry about Arkansas after Ole Miss.

This team gave a lack luster effort for an inferior opponent. It's called the Bama let down. We see it every season and people are still just confused about it.

Kevin Minter had a big game. I also think Tahj Jones is a good LBer as well

I'm not saying you're not bringing up valid points or concerns. It's just...why sweat over it?

Our offense was made simple this year, or so I read somewhere. Maybe the scouting report is out.

We ran vanilla and tried different things against a inferior opponent. I can say with great confidence we won't look the same against Ole Miss.

Didn't read, and, not that anyone cares, but here's why: LSU just played Ala freakin' Bama last weekend and left everything they had out on the field. This was a classic let down game. Had someone like Ole Miss, or God forbid, Arkansas been the opponent after Bama, that would have been cause for concern. As it was, it was WKU, and we could afford to have a let down.

Bcs selection show is on and very interesting.

Like I said, we need to adjust somewhere because our " vanilla" offense MAY catch up with us. I am not saying we might lose at all. I just felt that we were saving some different wrinkles for the Alabama game and that was completely not true. So how is our gameplan going forward going to be different then what we see now? You can only play what you play.

Just concerned

Simple is an under-statement.

All of the OP remarks are on the money. The offense is a concern and any Tiger fan who denies it's limitations (with either QB) is wearing P&G colored glasses.

The D can be exposed too. We haven't been playing offensive juggernauts: UF, Auburn, UK, Moo U aren't that good. Bama is pretty vanilla on offense but has a great O line. Oregon was a good offensive team and we played well but Oregon did, to some degree, self destruct with the fumbles on returns.

Okie State and OU can flat out score on virtually anyone.

i hate your guts usually, but on this post you are spot on imo.

The d line gets little pressure on most of the qbs they play. I know that a lot of this is scheme, but it needs to be fixed.

Arkansas has everything needed to light us up if we dont get some pressure on Wilson. I would be lying if I said I wasnt truly worried about November 25.

I hope Im wrong

Good OP. Alabama basically smothered Tyler Wilson with their pass rush. Our pass rush is mediocre. So we will have problems with Arky.

On O, because we have no short passing game, teams will risk giving up a score on a long pass, it seems, just to stuff us on the run. Hope Les has something up his sleeve...

Nice post, what I really agree with is the fact that Hatcher is still starting. He has got to be the worst tackler I have seen in a while. Jones or Loston needs a helluva alot more playing time.

I hate to sound negative, but shite like going up the middle into a brick wall seems just stupid and a waste. Why not pull the guards with our FBs leading the charge?

We will not be able to run the ball down Georgia's throat, not to mention get pressure with our front four

And give up the secret play bs. What you see right now is what we have.

That's odd. Montgomery and Mingo lead the team with 7 and 5 sacks respectively. Next highest is Logan with 2 followed by Mathieu, Brooks and Adams with1.5. 5 guys have 1 sack, three of which are Dl.

I hate Tiger fans sometimes. This is the most dominant Tiger team we have ever had and people post shite like this.
