JJ went thru spring and fall camp as the starter, he is suspended for a few games due to off the field issues. He was never "beat out" for the starting role. I think both have a great deal of improvements to make. JJ is slow with his reads, but can extend the play and get tough yards. JL will throw the ball into double coverage in an effort to avoid a sack. JJ has the coaches confidence because of his toughness. And so-on and so-forth. etc, etc.

That is the most idiotic argument I have ever heard. Lee is head and shoulders above JJ and always has been. JJ came in when Lee was hurt and Les has been so stubborn to prove he didn't make a mistake with this kid that he will not pull him for anything. Yes, when Lee threw interceptions his RS Freshman season, he was still better that anything JJ has ever shown. JJ started the next year and continually took sacks, some even on 4th down. Last season, 10 interceptions and 6 fumbles. Lee had to come in on multiple occasions to bale out the team. The team is much better when Lee is in. JJ tries to do too much and ends up screwing up most times.
