I would agree with you that the recruits from Texas will probably dry up some. But if Texas A&M is our cross division rival and Pinkel adds an SMU or Houston to the OOC schedule that can help lessen the blow.

People keep acting like the Texas pipeline slowing down is a terminal thing for Mizzou, but they weren't really pulling much out of Texas before Gary Pinkel got there. He came from Toledo and recruited the Midwest so I doubt he was getting much talent out of Texas for them. He came to Missouri in 2001 and set up a pretty good recruiting base in Texas so if he can't rearrange his recruiting to pull a few out of Florida or Georgia and other SEC areas he doesn't belong as a head coach.

I'm sure for a few years it will take him time to build new recruiting bases but he isn't inept so I don't think it's going to be as bad as some seem to believe. We shall see in the end but I believe they will be OK.
