It is going to take some time for Texas kids to begin culturally feeling as if Texas is an SEC state as well as a Big 12 one. Until this happens, it will always be an uphill battle for Mizzou to pull kids away from "home" in Texas to a conference where they feel is isolated from family.

What some people don't understand is that many of these Texas kids have never lived anywhere else, and in Texas there is just a natural mind set of "there's no where else worth living". The thought of not being here at least for a few games a year is a far fetched concept to some kids.
