We found the food to be extremely reasonable and what we'd pay in BR for meals. (well minus the museum meal of course)

Cafe Milano is supposed to be really good (in Georgetown). However, I read internet rumors that the Iranian assassination plot was targeting the Saudi Ambassador there because he was known to eat there often

Lauriol Plaza has great Cuban food, although they present it now as a Mexican Restaurant.


ask around..have not been there in about 5 years.
went to the inauguration of an LSU grad as Ambassador to Spain.
