Professor Botkins makes a good point about how much of Etruscan culture has been lost to history. Nonetheless, I feel as though he overemphasizes the importance of the Etruscan legacy on Western civilization. Overall though, a very good find.

what the heck are you puttin' that damn lecture on here for? that belongs on the ot board, or better yet the political board. the etruscans were dirty bastards and should have never been considered worthy of the western civil...whatever.

I'm sure you have no real complaints because of the source material, but I wanted to let you know - if you didn't already know.

hit the pause button. You will see a shaded line keep moving across the video. when it gets to the end, its loaded and should play through.
I highly recommend checking out the Professors other lectures. I discovered him through a Maxell commercial years ago.
