Pretty good job....but
Did anyone see the hand to the face on LSU's first play of OT on Shaw (I think)?
Pretty blatant and no call.

I saw a lot of holding non-calls, but wth.

No - they didn't call a lot of stuff in the middle. Mingo was held off the corner and I know there is a fine line from grabbing inside, grabbing outside and holding, but grabbing and pulling down on the arm is normally called in fair game.
Having said that - the crew appeared to call a pretty fair game. The Reid interception was a great call because had it been called the other way on the field, it would not have been reversed and we probably lost the game. And it was absolutely the right call and a freakish, game-ball worthy play.

yeah it was a lot holding. fluker held mingo everytime he try to get in the back field. he even tackled him once on a big play for lacy.

There were several Alabama hits out of bounds that should have been called. The Eric Reid blocked field goal return was one of them. #75 pounded him into the ground 5 yards out of bounds.
I would agree that overall the refs did a good job. Giving Eric Reid the interception was the right call, but it could have easily gone the other way in past year at BDS.

I thought there were a lot of hits at the sideline that should have been flagged

Yeah - I forgot about those, at least 3, all of which we have been flagged for equivalent or lesser contact. Taking the QB (JJ) to the ground about a half a yard in the white was another.

Late hit out of bounds, obvious holds... oh well at least they didnt make it too obvious by overturning Reid's INT

I disagree with your assessment. The referee said "The ruling on the field is confirmed." I doubt he says that if the video evidence is inconclusive.
That said, I thought the refs just let the two teams play as much as possible. Were there some missed calls? Sure, but nothing so egregious as to affect the outcome of the game in either direction. I'd rather this type of officiating than a flag happy crew.

agree, at least they got that one right, but if the others had been call correctly may have been no need for that one to be such an important call..
