I notice LSU's are going for $183 right now per terrace ticket, and Bama's are floating in the $430 range. I'm tempted to buy 2 LSU ones, but cannot decide.
Should LSU win, what do you think the price of the reserves will jump to? I say $500 or so.

Thought it was a gamble, if LSU doesn't make it you lose your money. All you're doing is paying for the rights IF LSU makes it

You are correct.

Doesn't the money you put up also go towards the ticket price if LSU makes it? I thought that was part of the deal.

No.
quote:
Each Team Ticket Reservation purchased (maximum Ten (10) per team, per household) guarantees the purchaser the right and obligation to buy one (1) ticket at face value for the 2012 Allstate BCS National Championship Game if the team qualifies. Face value cost is a separate charge over and above the price you pay for your Team Ticket Reservation.

I'm jumping in before they sellout and possibly reach Alabama prices.

Get in and buy your reservations before they sellout!

Could someone explain how this works please?

before the bama game you should have just put 300 bucks on teh LSU money line instead of doing this stuff.
You pay market price for the reservation, whatever this may be. Obviously the more likely a team is to go to the BCSNCG the more they will cost. If your team you buy a reservation for makes it to the game, they will offer you a ticket at facevalue for every reservation you have. If your team doesn't make it you lose your money. Either way the money you spend on the reservations is gone.
