My Dad who passed away Oct. 28, 2006, almost 37 years to the day after he took me to my first LSU game against Auburn in 1969.
A good friend Terry who passed away 5 days after the Auburn 'tuba' game of Dec. 1, 2001.

My Uncle Jack passed last year. He would be calling me this week to talk about the game.

Ok, I'll add mine.
Coolidge.
Who died right before the Florida 2007 game and I just knew was smiling down with that incredible game.
And especially this game here, considering he and I spent the entire miserable 2002 Alabama game in TS, all the way to the bitter end. With only Wild Turkey to console us.
It's time to reverse that 31-0 score, Cobe.

Poppa Rouge and I enjoyed out last game together in Tiger Stadium last season for the Alabama game. We had such a damn good time enjoying all the sites and pomp and circumstance of the LSU gameday experience.
Even though Dad never went to LSU, he brought me up on stories of LSU glory. He went to school with future LSU QB Mike Miley, who also met his Maker way too soon. Dad was almost childlike in telling stories of how athletic and amazing Miley was in those days.
First game we ever went to together was Florida in October, 1993. Ended up being the worst loss in Tiger Stadium history. I remember us walking after the game and him saying, "Well that fricking sucked, son. I guess it can only get better from here. At least we have baseball."
And better it got. Better to heights that he nor I nor anyone else could have ever imagined. Many hugs and high fives were shared over the years of watching and enjoying LSU together, in both the up and down years.
We got to celebrate 6 baseball national championships, 2 football national championship, and the Saints winning the fricking Super Bowl. From that sole aspect, I really can't complain for the rest of my days. I've had the opportunity to truly enjoy levels of athletic success that I never imagined possible.
All that being said, I'd give every fricking moment of it back for one more day.

My brother would be with me in T-Town. We were there for 03 UGA, 07 UF, and I know he'll have the best seats in the house Saturday night.

Inspired by the user MoreOrLes, who mentioned in the OT that he will be burying his father on Saturday, and inspired by the loss of my own dad earlier this year...who would you like to pay tribute to that is no longer with us and who you KNOW would be enjoying the Tigers this season? Haters/flamers kindly go somewhere else. Thanks.
My dad would be loving it. It is hard not having him here, but I know he would be really proud of how this team has just dominated. I hate that he can't see it but know that he is somewhere keeping tabs on what is going on!
It is so sad to hear of your loss, and our thoughts and prayers will be for MoreOrLes and his family. We lost our mother in 2000 and she was much too young. No one can explain the sorrow of losing a parent unless you experience it first hand. Some of us know what that's like.
Enjoy the game and God Bless MoreOrLes' family.

Yep, especially if they were like my mother!
My mom always pulled against LSU because they are my Dad's favorite team and he gets retarded when they lose or do something bad. He even used to blame her........that she wished it on them! Deep down inside, I know she loved the Tigahs though!

My wife, Heather. Our first date was LSU-Tennessee 2000. She made me leave early and LSU won in overtime and the fans stormed the field. I never let her live that one down. She had family in Arkansas and we attended every game at War Memorial in Little Rock. She held my hand as we left the stadium after the "Miracle on Markham" as we were heckled by the Arkansas fans. She always sat next to me on the couch during every LSU game as I screamed at the TV asking obscure questions that had nothing to do with the game.
She died on October 7th, 2011 of liver failure at the ripe old age of 35. She was my best friend and loved LSU because I did. Football doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things but I do hope LSU kicks Alabama's arse. I know at least one person will be rooting the tigers on from heaven.

My 20-year-old son who died in a car accident two years ago. I know he would be making plans with his buddies to get together to watch the game. RIP Jacob
