I just don't know if the Rangers can mentally recover from last night. I really hope they can and they prove me wrong. I literally felt like someone stomped on my testicles for about 30 minutes last night.
That being said... two things are keeping me optimistic:
Carpenter's last start on short rest, and;
The fact that the Rangers have not lost back to back games since August 5th.

2. Good pitching. There have been nine shutouts altogether, and in the past five Game 7s, no team has scored more than four runs and the team average over those five is just 2.2 runs per game.
3. The home team does well -- at least recently. It has won the past eight Game 7s. The last road team to win was the 1979 Pittsburgh Pirates. (and tonight)

Reports are Nellie and Napdawg looked fine in BP. Cruz hit four over to left, appeared to have very little discomfort.
