Sport South in Nashville showing it on TV right now. I find myself still yelling at Jamie Howard to take a knee! Edit to add: Coaching caused this loss not Jamie Howard!

Interesting watching that game now... LSU had a load of talent back then as well. Talent has never been our problem.

Funny how things have changed since that time.

Jamie got all the blame. Should have been directed at Curley and Amedee

Top - you are exactly right! Curley absolutely blew that game. Pretty much ended any chances for coaching success at LSU. Things have worked out ok for us though! Geaux Tigers!!

Every time we have a 3rd and 4 I think of that game. It has stuck with me forever.

No doubt!

Who could have EVER guessed LSU would be the powerhouse it is today after going through the hallman years.

I was at the game in 1995, when Jaime Howard led us to victory over Auburn, and they carried him off the field. I remember being and realizing what a great moment thaat was. Jaime Howard got all the blame but stuck it out, and led us to victory over an undefeated Auburn, and a memorable Independence Bowl win. Remember Bowl games in the 90's, were not that common.

..we have always had great talent. LSU was a sleeping giant back then. Just needed coaching to do well.

Your right, my mistake, but still a great win for Jaime.

It probably had nothing to do with that game but the fact that you call it "golfing".
