I'm in Connecticut for grad school (d*mn yanks and their cold weather) and figured I'd watch Nov. 5th championship in New York or Boston since both are the same distance from me.

Any suggestion for the best alumni/LSU-friendly bar around there?

Fwiw, I've never been, but I have heard good things about the Boston alumni group.

I lived in Boston and would recommend that group to watch a game with. Back in the day ('99-'04), we had some great times at Champs in the Marriott, but now it looks like they're at the Baseball Tavern.

Without a doubt, NYC. NYC has the funnest alum bar outside of the south.

I lived in San Francisco for three years and the alum bar in SF is absolutely blown away by Legends in NYC. Hell, I'll put it on the line and say it blows away the Houston and Chicageaux Alum bars.

Talked to a married couple visiting from Lafayette last weekend for the Auburn game...they loved it here. They told me they didnt expect it to be that rowdy and that invovled. They play all the down songs, Callin Baton Rouge, Louisiana Saturday Night, and random songs to turn it into a damn club (Cash Money songs and other good songs that get girls shaking their arse. $5 Hurricanes and Louisiana Lightnings (Firefly and Lemonade).

In fact, ESPN Gameday did a segment on the LSU alum and Bama alum bars in NYC this past weekend. Jeremy Shapp stopped by to do the segment. It'll most likely be on the Nov 5 Gameday

Last year, Charles Scott and Eric Alexander would stop by the NYC bar. You absolutely won't regret choosing the NYC bar.
