2012 Decommits (or likey to) that are interested in LSU

These are just off the top of my head that I keep seeing. I will update periodically.
5* DE Mario Edwards - ESPN reportedly saying that Mario Edwards will likely decommit from FSU. He will be here for an official visit for the Auburn game.
5* DE Arik Armstead - decommited from USC. Per ESPN “Texas, Oregon and Oklahoma have all offered,” Gus Armstead, Aric’s father said. “The one school that hasn’t offered yet that we’re still waiting on is LSU. Hopefully, they’ll come through, but this is exciting. It’s what we were looking for when Aric de-committed. The more options the better right now, so it’s all good.”
5* DE Dante Fowler Jr. - rumors stirring up that he might decommit from FSU as well. He said he is taking an official visit to LSU per Shea Dixon.
4* OLB Lorenzo Phillips - decommited from UF. Supposedly it's a battle between LSU/Houston/A&M.
4* OLB Keith Brown - Miami commit, but rumors are stirring up that he may end up in Clemson. Brown still has several schools to see before he makes a final decision. He told InsideTheU.com he plans to visit LSU, Nebraska, Penn State and Illinois.

Arik Armstead wants the offer from the #1 ranked school - that is all.
He has no intention of taking a visit and has not initiated contact with LSU/coaches.

Why does it matter? The players they have gotten or have committed to them were not offered by LSU. Would you rather Bama or Auburn get Floyd Raven and Darion Monroe?

I don't know why they wanted him that bad in the first place. They run a 3-4 defense and Phillips is listed around 205 pounds right now. He's gonna have to put on some serious weight without losing his speed to play that "joker" position that they were selling him.

We weren't recruiting him for Joker, but for the Drop OLB position that Sean Porter plays at ~225-230lbs. FWIW, when Von Miller got to A&M as a FR he weighed 210 and left 245. Putting weight on Phillips wouldn't be a problem.
That being said, I'm sure our coaches will be in contact with him now that he has de-committed, but I doubt he ends up at A&M at this point. Denzel Devall is much more likely to, however, and is supposedly a coin-flip between us and Bama currently.

Mike Coppage was saying that Lorenzo Philips has the Cajuns high on his list as well. That is a very very very very very very very very very long shot, but he would have never mentioned us just a year ago so it's cool to see. Word is that he's LSU's to lose.
