Apparently, a few players have tweeted about "real fans" should have their team's players backs. To me, this implies that the player's don't care anything about team rules, anything about NCAA rules, or anything about state and federal laws. Their teammates can break any law they want, but it's all good. Haters just gon' hate! No lessons being learned at all.

would you rather them not stand up for their team mates? i have no problem with team mates defending others on the team, regardless of what they did. that's called unity, something else necessary to be a good team. they're all friends. would you support your friends if something similar happened? i'd surely hope so

If I had a friend/team mate that broke a law and/or team rules, I would be disappointed, sad for him, sad that our team has to play without them, and I would encourage and help my friend to stay in compliance with team rules.

I would not encourage my team mate to keep breaking said rules, and I would not criticize anyone that is also disappointed in my team mate/friends actions.
