Very simple, the "boys will be boys" and "remember when you were 18" argument is getting very old. It may work for suspensions 1, 2, 3, and 4 of the year. However, when suspensions 5, 6 ad 7 happen 2.5 weeks before our biggest game of the year, I, and I'm assuming many others, don't really find that to justify that type of behavior!

I was 18 once. Played college athletics as well. Never got arrested nor suspended from my team. I did have to run extra for being late for a 5:30 AM workout once.

Kinda of odd after reading on here that "everyone" makes mistakes.

so...suspensions and mistakes are ok as long as they don't interfere with a big game? gotcha. you are definitely on the right board.

Simple fact of the matter here is that these are not just regular college boys. They are football players at a top tier D1 school and are held to a higher standard of conduct than the average student. Playing for this team is a privilege and they made an extremely stupid decision to jeopardize that, especially since they're both key starters. It was selfish and shows a serious lack of leadership. I think the suspension will be good for TM7, hopefully he gains a little humility from this situation.
